For emergency eye / face washes when exposed to injurious, corrosive materials. The Microprocessor is factory set at 84°F to provide "tepid" water (between 60°F - 90°F) as required by ANSI Z359.1. 

The Microprocessor adjusts the heater's power for variations in flow rates and pressure to ensure safety to the user.
